Un viaggio attraverso il mondo del rock underground nella provincia italiana. Seguendo tre gruppi musicali friulani nella loro ricerca del successo, il regista Massimo Garlatti-Costa scopre una realtà fatta di passioni, di sogni e sopratutto di inesauribili speranze. Il documentario si sposta a Londra per incontrare band emergenti e scoprire un’altra realtà, e prosegue al MEI, Meeting delle etichette indipendenti di Faenza, dove musicisti affermati ed esperti del settore parlano della loro esperienza. Dopo un anno, il viaggio si conclude di nuovo in Friuli: ed è tempo di tirare le somme.

A journey through the underground world of rock & roll. Following three music bands from the Italian Alps, striving for success, the director finds a world of passions, dreams and endless hopes. The documentary moves up to London to discover a completely different reality and then to the Italian MEI, the Meeting of Independent Labels. where the three bands try to promote themselves and where we get to know famous musicians and their advices. After a year the journey ends, and back in the Italian Alps the bands look back in their experiences.

Elio Bartolini fu poeta, scrittore e regista e sceneggiatore della trilogia del grande regista Michelangelo Antonioni che comprende i film: L’Avventura, L’Eclisse ed Il Grido.
